The Research Studios Austria coordinate applied research projects, bringing university innovations to the market in a non-bureaucratic and just-in-time manner. They do research and develop products and services in which time-to-market plays a key role.

The research and development conducted at the Research Studios is based on a process of rapid prototyping, in order to iteratively optimize results, to develop them flexibly in line with the needs of the market, and to shorten the time span between an initial idea, its conceptualization and its development into usable applications.

The Research Studios Austria Forschungsgesellschaft mbH is a not-for-profit research institution which receives basic funding from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research in order to facilitate synergies between science and economy. The Studios’ business objective is to manage the pipeline of innovation between universities and the market.
