Laser technology – mobile

01.10.2019 – 29.02.2020

This project addresses a demonstrator for an adaptive mobile visualization system based on the use of a mobile laser. The vision is the development of a mobile visualization system that the worker carries along in addition to his work equipment and activates it on site to get up-to-date information or assistance. For this purpose, a mobile technological system is developed from the following basic components: 1) RGB camera, 2) laser, 3) embedded computing system.

The aim of the project is to develop a stand-alone unit that requires only a power supply and can then be used seamlessly in various environments without further calibration. When starting the system, the environment is automatically searched for suitable surfaces for projection and a network interface is opened to receive the content to be displayed via a wireless interface.
