Innovation Ecosystem Geoinformatics Salzburg

“Innovation Ecosystem Geoinformatics Salzburg” — Invitation to the Smart Research Event on 21.01.2016

Since the end of the 80s, geoinformatics has developed into a widely perceived factor at the Salzburg location.

In an intensive and innovative cooperation between the University of Salzburg, research institutions ̶ especially the Research Studio iSPACE of the Research Studio Austria Forschungsgesellschaft ̶ and companies an innovation ecosystem has developed. It has been possible to acquire funds for basic research and to carry it out, but above all the location is known for applied research. This is where joint research and development is carried out.

The latest offshoot of this development is the spin-off Spatial Services GmbH, which, among other things, co-markets the impressive portfolio of geoinformatics services of the Department of Geoinformatics ̶ Z_GIS and the Research Studio iSpace or prepares them for the market in cooperative processes. The focus is on GI services based on interactive web-based GIS applications.

We invite you to get to know the “Innovation Ecosystem Geoinformatics Salzburg” in compact form at the Techno-Z / Science City Itzling location on Thursday, January 21, 2016, starting at 2:30 pm.
