The establishment of a European data market requires interaction between different stakeholders and the integration of the interests of many parties. This section highlights the methodology we propose. The generic approach of the project and the methodological approach is as follows. The data value chains to be enabled by the European data market based on the TRUSTS platform are located at the technical level. This level also includes the project demonstrators, which will be developed in TRUSTS and serve as a starting point for the derivation of requirements. These demonstrators are based on the existing platforms within the project: the Industrial Data Space and the Austrian Data Market. They are the prerequisite for the conceptual reorientation of the project, the architecture of a European data market and corresponding standards. The conceptual innovations are linked to the existing platforms, which must be updated accordingly.

These implementations will be integrated and validated in the pilot projects. Other practical initiatives and e.g. national field laboratories serve as contact institutions on the practical level. In addition to the technologies under consideration, other platforms and technologies will be addressed and, where possible, integrated into the European data market developed by TRUSTS. The developed dissemination plan includes corresponding activities and is intended to ensure long-term compatibility. At the conceptual level, existing and future architectures for digitisation in industry are to be considered. To ensure the acceptance of the European data market of TRUSTS as a common standardised data exchange network, standardisation bodies must be involved.
