Google, Uber, Web of Needs?

An alternative to centralized, global solutions from industry giants like Uber or Google? – RSA-FG scientists in cooperation with Austrosoft have developed an innovative taxi ordering logistics on the web, including “Taxi Bot”. Soon it could be ready.

The taxi ordering process takes place in the “Web of Needs”. The decentralized “Web of Needs” developed by the RSA FG Studio “Smart Agent Technologies” is a new kind of infrastructure logic of the Web, where supply and demand meet with unprecedented precision: Florian Kleedorfer, Studio Manager of “Smart Agent Technologies”, together with Fabian Suda, Maximilian Stolze and Christian Huemer presented how this works at the “SEMANTiCS 2018” conference in Vienna on September 12, 2018. This is how the RSA researchers describe their approach:

“We demonstrate how an existing taxi service can be integrated with a decentralized web-based infrastructure, the Web of Needs (WoN). In doing so, we use a chatbot that has been programmed to make certain types of agreements with users in a simple way”.
