Great media interest in green space research by iSPACE.
“How Tweets Improve Parks” – Under this title the Ö1 series “Digital.Leben” made a contribution to the green space research of the iSPACE studio of the Research Studios Austria FG on Monday, 10.07.2018. Also this week a detailed article was published in the daily newspaper “Der Standard”. The occasion was the conference “AGIT” (Applied Geoinformatics), which has just ended, with the parallel GI_Forum at the University of Salzburg, which celebrated its 30th birthday this year.
The Research Studio iSPACE was present with lectures, a workshop and an exhibition stand, especially with the two current EU Interreg projects “Urban Green Belts” and “THE4BEES”. Of the total of more than 1,000 visitors to this largest geoinformatics event in the German-speaking world, numerous participants found their way to the iSPACE booth, where, among other things, a 3D printer for 3D terrain models or an aerial photo quiz as part of “Urban Green Belts” attracted attention.

studio manager Thomas Prinz is pleased about four intensive communication days.
Last Friday’s Synergy Workshop within the framework of the “Urban Green Belts” project with 28 participants and speakers from Austria, Hungary, Italy and Argentina culminated in a constructive discussion on factors for green space assessment. The lecture “THE4BEES – Energy understanding through smart buildings” resulted in the idea of an interactive workshop on the topic.
