At the IFIP/IEEE NOMS 2025 – Network Operations and Management Symposium, held in Hawaii from May 12th to 16th, the workshop on Management for Industry 5.0 (MFI5.0) brought together researchers and experts. Among the participants were Chief Scientific Officer Markus Tauber and Senior Researcher Belal Abu-Naim, representing RSA FG.

In May 2025 the IFIP/IEEE NOMS 2025 – Network Operations and Management Symposium offered an array of workshops, talks and networking opportunities in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this setting a workshop for Management for Industry 5.0, the MFI5.0, took place. The workshop featured keynotes from Pal Varga (Budapest University of Technology and Economics) and Mauro Tortonesi (University of Ferrara).

RSA FG Chief Scientific Officer Markus Tauber gave two talks: One on “Understanding Stakeholders of Industrial AI: Insights from a Persona-Based Questionnaire” and one on “AI-Driven Aquaponics: Real-time Computer Vision and Machine Learning in Industry 4.0”. Furthermore Senior Researcher Belal Abu-Naim presented his paper “An AI-GYm for Industry 4.0” as well as “SOA Engineering Support for Building Autonomous Elements in Industrial Food Production”. The talks also gave insight into the projects AIMS.50, EDEN and VAC.

The workshops were organised by Markus Tauber and Hans-Peter Bernhard from SAL. Csaba Hegedus also presented a paper as well as Thomas Moser from the UAS St. Pölten, an important regional partner for RSA FG.
