In Salzburg, as in most cities, there is an increasing need for sensible and sustainable redensification to create new living space. This is why the BONUS project was launched. Together with the City of Salzburg as project partner, the research studio iSPACE – Smart Settlement Systems under the direction of Dr. Thomas Prinz developed an innovative post-densification consultancy, which focuses on potentials and mobilisation in the existing stock.

It is particularly pleasing that the results of the BONUS post-densification consultation will be continued and further developed in the follow-up project BONANZA. Above all, the area of climate change adaptation is to be given greater focus.
