Every year the International Salzburg Transport Days take a look at the new competition in mobility and seek answers to the questions of whether and how public transport is facing up to the new challenges and how it is using its opportunities to remain or become the backbone of transport, especially in urban areas.
The focus is also increasingly on smaller cities and surrounding areas, which suffer from similar transport problems and limited resources such as space, finance and energy.
Decision-makers from business, politics, transport companies, consultancies, NGOs and interest groups have the space for motivation and approaches to sustainable spatial, urban and transport development.
Thomas Prinz, head of the Research Studio iSPACE Smart Settlement Systems, accompanies a workshop on “Steering Tourism Mobility in New Directions” .
