BONUS: Use existing buildings – strengthen the environment

01.04.2020 – 30.09.2022

Due to the increasingly limited availability of land and rising settlement pressure in many cities, energy-efficient housing creation is of great importance. The BONUS project tries to mobilise existing potentials for interior development with a focus on 1-2 family houses by developing a transferable holistic consulting service as well as a transferable operator model. Data and methods from previous projects (especially BONSEI! – Optimal use of existing buildings – energy-efficient implementation of refurbishment!) to determine suitable redensification potentials are extended by green and open space aspects as well as mobility. In order to generate added value for municipalities, BONUS consulting is standardised and implemented in Feldkirch and Salzburg.

With the help of the developed operator model for the long-term establishment of the holistic consulting offer, it is possible to control the interior development for the procurement of housing in a targeted manner and to sensitise owners to the topic.

The aim of the project is to provide a holistic consulting service in order to create the basis for raising the energy-efficient, resource-saving and socially acceptable living space potential. The consulting service also aims at a holistic consideration and integration of the areas of mobility, open space and greening. A test in a real environment serves to design the operator model.
