Dr. Dipl.-Ing, Mag. Isabella Hinterleitner, M.Sc.

Dr. Isabella Hinterleitner brings a new perspective to the Research Studio Data Science by building a platform with her company TechMeetsLegal that connects lawyers and legal experts with scientists and many more for mutual benefit. She supports RSA FG in technical-legal projects and project proposals.
The core areas in which she supports RSA FG are autonomous driving, autonomous systems, DSGVO and data protection law, as well as reinforcement learning in the area of knowledge management, with a focus on knowledge graphs.
She has been involved in various projects across Europe (ANR, DFG, FWF) and worked for several years in innovation management at Robert Bosch GmbH (patents), in human-computer interaction for automotive sensor systems, and in cognitive robotics.
Most recently, she was responsible for setting up a machine learning/sensorics lab at Silicon Austria Labs until she took the leap into self-employment with TechMeetsLegal. She holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Vienna University of Technology and a Master’s degree in Economics, Computer Science and Cognitive Science (University of Vienna).
