The international forum on the anthropocene is an important platform when it comes to sustainable strategies in a world shaped by humans. This year, the forum dedicated itself to the topic of water. iSPACE studio manager and PLUS employee Thomas Prinz traveled to Heiligenblut and presented "Tools for resource-conserving land management with a special focus on green-blue infrastructure".

“BONUS” project awarded prize by TU Vienna for its concept on the use of existing living space in Salzburg

The City of Salzburg's “BONUS” consulting service convinced the jury of the Friedrich Moser Prize of the University of Technology Vienna. The FFG project with iSPACE-Lead is already being continued with the City of Salzburg in “BONANZA”.

Over 100 participants from all over Europe at AIMS 5.0 General Assembly in St. Pölten

53 project partners came together in St. Pölten for a project meeting as well as a poster and demonstrator walk, organized by the SDIS studio together with the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences (FH St. Pölten).

Together with Lufthansa Aviation Training and RotorSky, RSA FG is continuing its work to further improve training for pilots. The use of mixed reality and eye tracking does not only record the behavior of trainees, but also provide them with direct feedback during training.

The RSA FG studio SDIS in St. Pölten participates as a consortium member, work package leader and partner in the EU- and FFG funded project AIMS5.0, coordinated by Infineon Technologies AG. In the past year, it hosted two events to further the project’s efforts to enhance European digital sovereignty by integrating AI-enabled hardware and software components across the entire industrial value chain.

Using spaces instead of wasting space with the project Sharing Hubs

Shared forms of mobility, sustainable (re)allocation of space and attractive, inclusive, needs-based access to mobility in residential and business areas are the aim of the iSPACE Sharing Hubs project. Vehicles should be shared in these hubs, while the existing parking spaces are also to be used in more than one way. The spatial decoupling of living/working and parking promotes shared mobility. In addition, these sharing hubs can be equipped with low-cost e-charging infrastructure and supplemented with services such as parcel boxes.
